Annuities Feedback: There are so many different companies who now offer life insurance so its hard to choose which is best. For a special case like yourself I would probably use a comparison website and enter your details and they will be able to tell you which ones can cover you and for the cheapest price.

Best one ive used is lifeinsurancecompare (very original!) they compare prices from all the major life insurance companies, their address is in my sources. good luck!

Annuities Feedback: Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna turned me down for pre existing conditions. United Healthcare premium was more than my annual income. I finally went with a limited benefits policy with United American.

Annuities Feedback: I think contacting an attorney and asking his opinion wouldn’t be a bad idea. The problem is that every reliable attorney, who’s opinion you can trust is not working for free. So perhaps one hour of consultation will cost you somewhat around $150.
Another tip – try to contact annuity specialist from any Structured Settlement firm. That one will cost you nothing and you’ll have some initial idea, which you need to check of course.
Here is just one of them:

I am sure there is many more, looking for potential clients. But you can use them to your advantage, why not?

Annuities Feedback: vgli is a 5 year renewable term policy meaning you can renew it every 5 years for the same amount of insurance but your premiums will have gone up cause you've gotten older.

as far as whole life vs. term i tell people it depends how old they are and what they're resposible for financially. ie: If you're young and dont have a family basically you're just responsible for putting yourself in the ground.

a whole life policy will also be much more expensive than term.
ie: a 25 year old might pay $400/year for a 20 year $500k term life policy while a $500k whole life policy would be maybe $3500/year or so.
however your whole life policy builds cash value which earns interest. if you actually keep the policy for awhile (~15 years) you end up with more than what you paid into it and still have the face amount of life insurance protection in the mean time.
the term life argument is you get the term policy and with the money you save you invest it in some other way with the idea being you'll get a better return than what the insurance company will pay on your whole life policy.

as far as health insurance, dont you have VA benefits?

Annuities Feedback: ~~I don't think so. This annuity is for a disability which is a payment you are suppose to receive over your lifetime. It should never be able to be touched.~~

Annuities Feedback: That depends on whether the yield is 4.8% (pretty good) or if the payout rate is 4.8% (horrendous rip-off). Also, most annuities have lifetime payouts, so I would be suspect of a 5-yr one. Are you sure that the payments aren't deferred for 5 years?

Basically, you don't give enough information if you really want the right answer.

Also, if you don't know the difference between yield (interest rate) and payout rate, you're not alone: "Dr.Don" on Yahoo doesn't know either.:-Annuities-or-Bonds;_ylt=AinKGjakD7UFCTSbLll1XTa7YWsA?mod=retirement-post-spending

Annuities Feedback: That's good if you rolled it over instead of taking the distribution. So you won't have any fees.

Make sure you're not paying too many fees for that annuity.
